4th of July

The 4th of July is in the top 3 of my favorite holidays.. I LOVE it! We slept over at Jayni and Ben's in Provo so we could wake up early and go to the parade, we ended up NOT waking up.. but LUCKILY my freaking awesome, hot Melton Aunts let us come sit with them. Thanks Jill, Jamie, Jodi, and Joy.. oh yeah and especially Charlie. :] I LOVE parades. My favorite part of the Freedom Festival parade is when the missionaries go by singing hymns, I always get choked up!

My kids do NOT like the fireworks. Enoch and I contemplated not even watching em. But we were like, "We HAVE to. What's the 4th of July without the fireworks at night??" So we went.. it was fine except for the traffic after... Here's Uncle Jaxon holdin B waitin for the fireworks to begin.

My new calling :]

So... on Sunday I was released from being the Enrichment Leader in my ward. I got a new calling. I'm now the first counselor in the Young Womens Presidency, I couldn't be more thrilled!! When I was extended the call, I started crying. The spirit was really strong, it was weird. I'm humbled to work with all of these sweet girls. I know that in Young Womens is where I'm supposed to be. I don't know any of the young women and I don't know the leaders that I'll be working with that well either, so I'm really excited to get to know them! I get to go to girls camp at the end of July.. couldn't be more excited?!?! It's been about 7 years since I've been in Young Womens and they've now added a new value "Virtue" and they've changed the theme a little bit. I'm over the Mia-Maids and I'm also over the Personal Progress. It's going to be a lot of work, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes. :]

I thought my camera was decent, a nice digital camera.. Um.. NOPE! When I look at the quality of my pics compared to other people's pics on their blogs that have the WAY nice/big cameras.. My pics look like POOOOOOP!!! Geeeeeeezzz.. I guess I need something with more Mega pixels??

Vegas for a night- 06.20.09

We decided since we were driving to LA, we would stop in Vegas for a night to split up the drive.. as much fun as a road trip is with 2 toddlers. We stayed at Circus Circus, we went swimming, we walked the strip, saw the water show at the Bellagio, went to dinner, etc.

We had a BLAST in LA, my husbands home town. It was SOOO GOOD to his family! We did have some bad luck though. Enoch's phone broke and didn't work most of the trip, his lap top was dropped and that and our internet card were broken, we had to take Jett to the Urgent Care he ended up having a double ear infection and croup, my camera battery died and I didn't bring my charger, Enoch jumped in the Ocean with the key to our SUV in his shorts that was ruined, we had to wait like 4 hours for a locksmith and paid $250 for a freaking magnetic key of some sort, and on the way home our tire pressure light in our SUV came on so we had to stop in 115 degree weather and get our tires checked!!! We ended up surviving... BARELY ;)

We ate TOO MUCH! Jack in the Box and In-n-Out a THOUDAND times!! We didn't want to come home.. SO MUCH FUN! We were also there when Michael Jackson passed away.. It was CUH-RAZY out there. The morning after he passed way they already had shirts made and were selling them on the corners.. :]
