"The Cruise" 02.22.09-02.26.09
First off, how BORING has my blog been?? GEEZ, I'm sorry. Also, thank you so much to EVERYONE who helped us out so Enoch and I could go on a lil' "get-a-way" for our Anniversary and for everyone being so excited and thrilled for us to go on the cruise. We're so blessed to have such awesome friends and family. Here are a lot of pictures and I didn't even post all of them.. ha ha I've heard of a lot of people who have actually gone on this exact cruise. SO these pictures will probably bring back some memories. We LOVED it! We definitely could NOT have been on that ship for ONE MORE DAY though.. 4 days was PLENTY! I was SOOOOOO SEA SICK the WHOLE TIME! I ended up taking some "motion sickness" medicine throughout the cruise, it helped a little, but made me really sleepy. I was fine when the ship was at the dock or anchored, but when it was moving.. UGH! I was crying the first night it was so bad. There were quite a few people who actually got a patch that went behind their ear prescribed from a doctor, and they said they weren't sick at all. So note to self: next cruise, get a patch that goes behind my ear to prevent motion sickness! It wasn't as warm as I would have liked it to be.. but hey it's February, and it was warmer than UTAH! We stepped of the plane coming home and IT WAS SNOWING LIKE CRAZY! I wanted to go back to California.. I did better than I thought I would without my boys, but by the end every time I even thought about them I got choked up. I knew they were in good hands though. Ben and Jayni helped out the first few days, then my Parents watched them during the day and Grace, my sister n law that lives with us, would take em home at night. It worked out GREAT! I can't thank them enough.

The front of the ship

The back of the ship

Here was the boat that took us from the cruise ship to the dock at Catalina Island

The majority of this town drives golf carts around, it was awesome! I saw some with "my child is an honor student" bumper stickers on them, some with sun roofs, some were really junkie, and some were really nice and decked out like this one, it had rims, a nice paint job, etc.

We rented bikes and rode all around, it was rainy that day, so we got all muddy riding around, but had fun going to the shops, going to the museum, and burning off a few calories cause we ate and ate and ate on the cruise..

... and last but certainly not least.. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

Beautiful Catalina Island

Enoch is so HOT! I love him. Can't get enough of him.

We got to spend our Anniversary in Catalina, it was so much fun to be with each other the WHOLE day. It was rainy and romantic.. I'm so lucky to be married to such an amazing man, who I get to spend Eternity with. I love him so much. In the sand we wrote (E+J Anniversary '09)

The Botanical Garden

We rode the fetching bikes to the Botanical Garden... we were DYING! It was hilarious. There were tour trolleys and buses drivin by us, golf carts cruisin by lookin at us, it was so funny! But we were determined to make it up that hill. We made it and the ride down made it all worth it. ha ha

Every night you eat dinner at a certain time in one of the 2 dining rooms at the same table with the same people. The same server every night also. The food is really fancy and yummy, and they don't tell you this, but it's all you can eat!! We were told that before the cruise so we took advantage of that and we probably shouldn't have, we gained a a lot of weight I'm sure. This was Enoch's favorite meal.. lobster. UGH.. gross. He was all about the shrimp too. I just stuck with the chicken. I hate that I'm a picky eater!

The night of our Anniversary the people on our table told the server that it was our anniversary and they brought us a cake with candles and a group of servers sang to us "happy anniversary to you..." with their oriental accents. We were so embarrassed!

They HAVE great SERVICE! Every night when we came back into our room they had a "towel animal" on our perfectly made bed with chocolate mints.

In Ensenada, Mexico the weather was actually decent. We rented a scooter and rode all around town. IT WAS A BLAST!! I have a really funny story about the scooter, but it's too long to type. Lets just say I learned my lesson. ha ha ha ha

The GORGEOUS BEACH.. not really hot enough to get in a swim suit and lay out there unfortunatly.

The Mexican Flag

They didn't have a great selection of soda on the ship. What they did have was cans that they would just serve over ice and it was flat most of the time. PLUS they didn't have ANY MOUNTAIN DEW! I thought I was going to die. I looked in every gift shop on that ship and in Catalina I looked like every where.. I FINALLY found some in a freaking little shop in Ensenada and bought every single can they had.. which was only 2! AND I paid like $1.50 for ONE freaking can! WHAT?! When I was drinking it though.. it was HEAVEN!

Just relaxing on the deck.. listenin to reggae music.. lovin life!

At night they light up the deck on the cruise ship..

Ensenada at night behind us..

We went dancing one night, this was a "congo line"

The Men's "Hairy Chest Competition" It was so funny!

Enoch and I had 500 of these.. not kidding.. they were all you can eat. We took advantage of that! YOU KNOW IT..

2 of the elevators by the lobby.. fancy schmancy huh?

The servers at dinner would always put a show on for us and sing to us..

Us and the other couple that we ate dinner with every night. They were from Vegas and SO cool! They were pretty drunk the last night, but a nice genuine couple.

CHEERS!

My Father-n-law picked us up in San Diego and drove us to LAX when we drove passed the San Diego Temple, you know I had to whip out my camera!!

When Grace picked us up from the airport with the boys, she had these cute posters and balloons in our SUV, WE LOVED IT!

After gaining 15 pounds each, still feeling like I'm on ship rocking to this very moment, missing my sons like crazy.. all in all.. WE HAD A BLAST! Thanks again to you Dad and Mom, Ben and Jayni, and Grace! We couldn't have gone on this vacation without you guys... LOVE YA! :]
Visiting L.A.-02.21.09
Before we went to San Diego to board the Cruise Ship, we hung out for a day and a half at my in-laws house. It actually was really nice to see them, hang out, and catch up. It was especially good for Enoch to be around his family since only sees his Parents and 2 of his brothers Misi and Sione like 5 times a year, if that. You know we had to hit up In-N-Out, The Chinese Buffet, etc. We had fun! :]

Of course we had to stop at Enoch's Grandparent's home to say hello. Here we are with his Grandma. She's hilarious.

Sione and I. Enoch's lil 8 year old brother. He LOVES to talk, I'll tell ya that much. He was my lil' tag-along. I love him.

On Sunday morning we went to church at their branch in South Central, it had like metal things covering all the windows n stuff... I've NEVER seen ANYTHING like it. A church in the GHETTO

I can still hear all of the freaking ice cream trucks playing "do your ears hang low do they wobble too and fro..." all around L.A. UGH!! SO ANNOYING

WELCOME TO THE GHETTO!! SCARY.. I don't know how Enoch and his family grew up there.. especially me coming from "The Bubble" Utah County..
"DOCTOR CHECK-UP TIME" 02.20.09
The boys had their check-ups, shots, etc today.. Jett HATED every minute of it! The second we stepped into Alpine Pediatrics, he started fussing. We got through it though and everything was great with Jett. My tall skinny boy! :] Bryton didn't have a clue of what was going on. He's huge! He's 18 months and still in the 110th percentile for his height and the 90th for his weight. Him and Jett weigh the same and Bryton is only 2 inches shorter that Jett also.
