Ingersoll/Squires Date Night-November 29, 2007

I must say having a date night was very much needed! Janessa watched Jett (sort of.. haha just kiddin Nes! Thanks for your help.) Enoch and I went and hung out with the Ingersoll/Squires clan. JCW's was amazing, as usual, they're burgers seriously..unreal! Then we went to my parent's new house and played Bunco.. I didn't get it.. just SO confusing! Then did some DANCING, let's just say I can't "drop it like it's hot" like I used to back in the day. Although I did win the "YMCA dancing contest", my prize was a gift certificate to JCW's and a twix.. awesome.. that will help me loose my baby weight quicker.. UH NOPE! Here's a few pictures I took throughout the night, but I was sweating my butt off most of the time, too busy dancin to take pics! So if ya wanna see more check out Jayni or Andrea's Blog hahahahaha

Adam droppin it like it's hot, LOVE you AD!

"OFA LAHI ATU" Enoch!

Parents of Kacie Gene Ingersoll..they couldn't be more proud! LOVE her! So precious!

Thanksgiving- November 22, 2007

Thanksgiving was so much fun! I ate WAY too much! We did some stuff with my Melton side of the family and some with Enoch's Finau side of the family. It was SOOooooO nice to have Enoch have a few days off. I forgot what it's like to have help with my boys.. ha ha ha just kidding ;) I have so many blessings to be thankful for... I'm so thankful for my husband/best friend Enoch, he makes me smile everyday and puts up with my "mood swings". I'm thankful for the oppertunity to be a Mother, I love my lil' boys so much, I never thought being a mother of 2 would come so fast. Last, I'm thankful for the gospel in my life, it brings so much joy to me.

"Gratitude is a feeling of appreciation and thankfulness for blessings or benefits we have received. As we cultivate a grateful attitude, we are more likely to be happy and spiritually strong. We should regularly express our gratitude to God for the blessings He gives us and to others for the kind acts they do for us."

They're growin up TOO fast! - November 21, 2007

It's crazy how time flies.. it seems like just yesterday I started feelin SO sick bein pregnant with Bryton and now he's almost 4 months.. AHHH! Jett is such a good big brother, he loves to "UMA (kiss) Brother", poke his eyes, attempt to put the bottle and pacifier in his mouth-when actually he's SHOVING them in his nose, ear, or at times the mouth, he likes to help Mommy change his diapers, get in the bath with him, and it's just so dang cute when they hold hands in the car I look back there and just wanna cry when I see it! They are best friends! It's pretty hard at times havin kids 12 months apart, but in a few years it'll be a lil' easier and alot more fun.. not that changin 5 trillion diapers a day, carrying around 2 spare outfits, 2 sizes of diapers, 2 different bottles, etc. isnt SO MUCH FUN! Actually Bryton is a really good baby, he hardly ever cries, as long as he is fed and has a clean diaper he's good to go. He sleeps through the night now too! Oh.. and get this! So.. I received a calling in church, I'm the Valiant 10 Primary teacher and Enoch got called to be the primary pianst. Well Jett doesn't go to nursery for about 3 more months!! So I have 2 kids to take care of, PLUS teach a naughty primary class.. WHAT?!?! Enoch can't help me with the boys very much either cause he's playin the piano the last 2 hours for the primary! I just have to keep TRYING to have a positive attitude about it and remember I'm serving the Lord. Anyway, I'm loving bein a Mom, what a huge blessing it is.. No matter how sick I am during pregnancy, how many times I throw up, all the times I had heart burn, how up and down my mood swings are, how outta wack my hormones are, how frickin fat I get, how bad my back hurts, how I loose SO MUCH hair everyday, how HOT it was havin August summer babies, freakin havin a 9 1/2 22 1/2" HUGE baby, sleepless nights.. it's all WORTH it and it must not be THAT bad, cause I'd do it again! (NOT ANY TIME SOON, TRUST ME!!!) HA HA HA

Adam's Army- November 6, 2007

WE WANT YOU!
as we “Rally the Troops” for Adam Ingersoll

Adam’s Story

It all began back in May of 2005 when Adam was first diagnosed with a fast growing aggressive cancer called Non Hodgkins T-cell anaplastic lymphoma. What a struggle he faced! Despite powerful medications and intense treatments, his condition only worsened. This cancer wrenched itself more deep into his body, determined not to let go. Yet, through the loving mercy of our Father in Heaven, late in the fall of that same year, the cancer miraculously went into remission. Adam wasted no time getting back into the full swing of life. He quickly found himself back in school, back at work and back looking at pretty girls. He didn’t have much of a chance to look at pretty girls before his heart was quickly stolen by his sweet Alissa. Together they’ve lived as full a life as any young couple you’d find. Now together, they face new challenges and fears, as it was recently discovered that Adam’s lymphoma has relapsed.

Adam’s Situation
In September, Adam returned to the oncologist because of constant pain he was having on the left side of his body. It was found that his cancer had relapsed. He had several new tumors, including one the size of a tennis ball behind his spleen. With recurring lymphoma, a traditional chemotherapy regimen will not take care of the cancer. He must then undergo salvage chemotherapy and have a bone marrow transplant, a very delicate procedure. Essentially, what happens is Adam will receive intense chemo and radiation treatments, destroying all his bone marrow while eradicating the cancerous cells. He will then be “rescued” with healthy, transplanted bone marrow. Due to the strong affects of all this, Adam will be hospitalized for several weeks and then be confined to home for up to a year, and with God’s blessing, on the path to full recovery.

Adam’s Army
Do to the uncertain length of time of Adam’s recovery and to the mounting costs of his treatments, Adam and Alissa are facing a financial struggle. This is the last thing we want them to worry about, and probably the biggest way that those concerned can truly help them out. What can you do? Following is a list of ways to contribute to this cause that is much needed and will be much appreciated. . . An account called the “Adam Ingersoll Fund” has been set up at Bank of American Fork and donations can be made to this fund at any time to any Bank of American Fork Branch. A fundraising event is being held at American Fork High School Thursday, November 15th at 6:00 pm. It will be a Luau with great food and fun. There will also be a silent auction and a rally. You are all invited to join us at this event. Tickets can be purchased from a member of the Ingersoll, Melton, Squires, or Bennion family. The tickets are $20, $10 (ages 4-10) or $80 for a family. The money will go to Adam and Alissa obviously. If you have any items you’d like to donate for the auction, that would be great. Again, please
contact a family member.

Please join this army, and thank you
for your love and support!

*For those interested, Alissa keeps a current update of Adam’s situation at adamandalissa.blogspot.com
